Privacy Policy

Below we explain how personal data is handled on this website — in line with Art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Italian data protection law D.Lgs. 196/2003 (Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali) as amended.

1. Data controller

2. Principle: this website collects no user data

This website is a purely informational page and does not collect personal data itself. In particular, there is:

• no contact form
• no newsletter, no email list
• no user accounts, no login
• no comment or feedback feature
• no analytics (no Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo, Fathom or similar)
• no own cookies
• no marketing or tracking technology

The only active user interaction is clicking a Cal.com button or link through which you can optionally book an appointment. Details are given in section 5.

3. Server logs kept by the hosting provider

The website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) — specifically using Amazon S3 as static storage and Amazon CloudFront as a Content Delivery Network. Provider: Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 Avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg, with parent company Amazon Web Services, Inc., USA.

When this website is accessed, the hosting provider records technically necessary access data in server logs:

• IP address
• date and time of the request
• user agent (browser and operating system information)
• referrer (previous page, if transmitted by the browser)
• requested URL and HTTP status code

The hosting provider stores this data for operational security (defence and analysis of attacks, error diagnosis, capacity planning) for a limited period of time and then deletes or aggregates it. Sönke Busch does not receive live access to this raw data.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website).

Data transfer to the USA: AWS may transfer data to the USA. Such transfers take place on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. External resources loaded when the page is opened

When you open this website, your browser loads a few resources directly from third-party servers. As a result, your IP address is — unavoidably — transmitted to the respective provider. The legal basis in each case is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the functional presentation of the website).

Google Fonts

• Provider: Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
• Purpose: loading of the fonts "Instrument Serif" and "DM Sans" from the servers fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com.
• Data transmitted: IP address, browser information, referrer.
• Data transfer to the USA: based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
• Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Tailwind CDN

• Provider: operator of the CDN at cdn.tailwindcss.com.
• Purpose: loading the Tailwind CSS framework needed to render this site.
• Data transmitted: IP address, browser information, referrer.

5. Appointment booking via Cal.com

Some pages feature a button such as "Book AI-Quick-Check". Clicking it opens a booking widget or takes you to the domain cal.com. The provider is Cal.com, Inc., USA.

Once you use the booking widget, Cal.com processes the data you enter (e.g. name, email address, requested time, time zone) as an independent data controller. Cal.com's own privacy policy applies to that processing. Sönke Busch is not responsible for the data processing that happens on Cal.com's side.

Once a booking has been made, Cal.com forwards the information required for the appointment (typically name, email, time slot and any context information you provide) to Sönke Busch so that the appointment can be kept.

Legal basis for receiving and processing these booking details on Sönke Busch's side: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps taken at your request). The data is used solely for preparing and holding the appointment and is deleted once the purpose has been fulfilled and any applicable statutory retention periods have expired.

6. Cookies

This website does not set any own cookies. The third-party services listed in sections 4 and 5 may set strictly technical cookies when their resources are loaded, solely to support their own functionality. No tracking and no profile-based marketing takes place.

7. Your rights as a data subject

Under the GDPR you have the following rights vis-à-vis Sönke Busch as controller:

• right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
• right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
• right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
• right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)

An informal email to hello@feuer.busch.earth is sufficient to exercise these rights.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — garanteprivacy.it (English).

8. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy will be updated if the services used, the legal situation or other relevant circumstances change. The current version is always available at this URL.
